Stay in the charming little village of Tombeek and absorb the peaceful atmosphere in the family-run Hotel Avalon.

Savour the friendly ambience of this small-scale hotel and its comfortable, brightly coloured interior. Enjoy the picturesque surroundings and go for a long walk through one of the beautiful forests in the vicinity. Of course, the area is also great for other outdoor activities, such as mountain biking. Visit the 16th century Castle Bisdom with its 12th century towers in the centre of Tombeek. Alternatively, go see the modern building of the Sanatorium Joseph Lemaire, designed by the architect Maxime Brunfaut. Venture out for a day trip to other Belgian cities, such as Wavre, Leuven or Brussels. Weather permitting, you can sit out on the lovely terrace and relax with your favourite drink.

In the evenings, you can discover the excellent mix of Belgian and Italian cuisine in the cosy restaurant.

Nice talks with the owner.

Distance from Wavre was given, but not the difficulty of how to get there by public transportation. It was only 5 km from Wavre but cost 20 euros by taxi each way!

Inconvenice. Booked a family room but was given a double on arrival and had to wait for extra bed to be added (the family room guests before us wanted to stay further and the owner couldn't refuse). After some struggling the owner offered us additional double room without extra charge (perhaps realising it was impossible to add bed and still leave us some standing space). Noise from Road traffic.

Behalve de lakens zelf, was het hotel niet proper: gangen heel vuil en veel te donker. Ook veel lawaai: gelegen langs een drukke baan, en vanaf 5u30 's morgens wordt het moeilijk om nog wat te slapen. (Misschien zijn mijn verwachtingen wat te hoog voor deze prijs)

Gemoedelijke sfeer komt mede omdat het een familie hotel is. De belangstelling voor de gasten en het kosteloos gebruik van de telefoon. Het vrij parkeren.

J'ai pas apprécié d'être dans une chambre ou se trouvait des affaires d'une autre personne, dans la salle de bains se trouvait brosse à dent, dentifrice, rasoir etc.... tous les effets personnelles d'une autre personnes comme dans les armoires ou table de nuit, j'ai dû laisser mes affaires dans ma valise !!!!! je trouve cela un peu fort.....ce n'est pas une réclamations c'est une contastation.....

Vriendelijke hotelbaas, ontbijt simpel maar degelijk, restaurantgedeelte ziet er goed uit

Personal war freundlich

Das Hotel ist insgesamt abgenutzt. Schimmel im Bad,fleckiger Teppich, Risse in der Wand. Zudem kalter Zigarettengeruch.
